What Does Masque Attack Mean For Apple Pay

Hackers are really going crazy, looking to take advantage of consumers who are none the wiser. While we trust big brands that they go through a lot of effort to not be vulnerable to hack attacks, the Apple problem dubbed Masque Attack proves that even the world's largest company by market cap can be unlocked by unwanted intruders who leaving the end user, the consumer, vulnerable.

Apple Pay has been positioned with security as the lead strength, so what does it mean that Masque Attack is such a real threat?

Quoting Reuters, "The malicious application can then be used to replace genuine, trusted apps that were installed through Apple's App Store, including email and banking programs, with malicious software through a technique that FireEye has dubbed 'Masque Attack'"
