Children are not that complicated. They simply want to interact and engage, not just have you hanging around and supervising or barking instructions. Sometimes, I think it is easier for parents to go on about their kids being "stuck in gadgets" and not wanting to ride a bike, or climb a tree, or kick a ball. The ADHD conversation has become more of a bragging positioning, rather than true concern.
I watched kids today, including teenagers, keep it simple and have fun. I know when they get home, they will be chatting away on BBM, WhatsApp and sharing on Instagram memories of today. So they are not anti technology. They just use the technology to capture the memories and share them. They want to have fun, but that means us taking part in the fun with them.
