The Tampa Bay Rays were my first live ball park experience last year when I visited St. Petersburg bought some souvenirs, but chose to support the Boston Red Sox as my Major League Baseball club of choice. The Fenway Sports Group factor and link to Liverpool were my sole deciding factor in choosing who to support.
The Rays though will always have a special place in my heart. That's why I am glad they finally won given their recent form. It is ironic that the two teams I chose in Major League Baseball are breaking records for all the wrong reasons.
"The music is back on in the clubhouse after the game," Tampa Bay manager Joe Maddon said. "It's good to hear the music. It's a good first game to start hopefully getting us back in the right direction."
