Food, Restaurants, Mobile Phones And Etiquette

I didn't realise that people taking pictures of food was still a sensitive issue for restaurants. I would have thought by now, it has become as acceptable as the way we strip dishes on the menu, designing custom servings on our plates, given our demanding preferences.

I will admit, that in my early ventures into social media, I frowned upon people posting pictures of food. Then I grew up...

This is a picture of the salad I made for lunch earlier. I made a meal for one, and I just loved the look of it so much before eating it, that I wanted to capture it.

I am quick to take pictures of food now, as I am away from home a lot, and want to share with my family what I am eating. I also think it helps keep the discipline in tact of eating healthy, nutritional food. After all, I would not share a picture of lunch, if I was stuffing myself with Hot Wings at Chicken Licken!

Food photos and social media are part of the norm now, so I'm glad to see that the world's best restaurants have given up the fight against phones.
