Constantia, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. Winter took its arms off of us for the weekend, and the weather on Friday, Saturday and Sunday was exquisite. To have such clear blue skies, and no rain at this time of year, is on one hand a relief, and on the other a worry. We need the rain, and given the fires that ravaged the Cape this year, we need a wet winter to see those green shoots interrupt the black, scorched earth.
I took this shot in the garden in the morning. The tree is losing its leaves, but certainly maintaining it's character and colours.
