Gogo's Meat Is Steaming Hot

Gogo's meat is more than just a deli to get yummy biltong. I love their biltong, but their free range meat has been the business for me. I grew up in a house where eating well was high on the value chain, and knowing what I know now, makes me an even trickier customer. Or as I see it, it makes me very clear on what I want.

I had gone off beef until I found Gogo's. What I soon realised was that it was not that I had gone off beef, I just found beef not tasting like the beef flavours I enjoyed growing up. When I eat the pasture raised meat (free range in the true sense of the words), the tastes are more what I remember growing up (particularly beef as that is what I ate more of growing up).

We did not have a big marinade culture when I was growing up and meat was merely seasoned for flavour, which is what I do with meat that I buy that is free range from my favourite spots, Gogo's in Newlands and Jacksons in Riverclub.

It might be too late for the folks in Cape Town to try out some steak from Gogo's to throw on the braai for Heritage Day, but with the weather clearing up over the weekend, pop into the deli in Newlands and grab some cuts to braai.
