The Best Medical Plan Is Eating Real Food

The best medical plan is in eating real food. "There is really no such thing as alternative medicine; there is only what is proven to work and what is not". That was Paul Offit in his 2013 book  Do You Believe in Magic?

The world is driven around a diet that is high in carbohydrates, promoting low fat foods as the best approach to preventing heart disease. Yet there is no evidence to this relationship being real.

“Government doctrine in 1992 indicated that we need to be on a low-fat diet. That’s saying in the same breath, high carb. Immediately, within 10 years, the rate of diabetes in America went up three-fold.”

The number of people diagnosed with diabetes in the U.S. has nearly tripled in the last twenty years, according to the CDC

With so much conflicting information about which diet is best for your health, maybe the answer isn't simply in the data and science. The answer probably comes from a deeper sense of knowing.
