The Kirstenbosch Boomslang is not as frightening as the name implies to my psyche. I am terrified of snakes, and the fact that I was told that it moves, had me wondering how I would cope with it. Add that I also have a fear of heights, this was on paper just not the experience for me. That didn't put me off from wanting this adventure though. It really is for all to get to feel, young and old.
The views are beautiful. Even though the day started off sunny, the clouds gathered, but it still made for stunning views. I couldn't see far in the distance, so will definitely venture back there on a clear sunny day, so I can see the Cape Flats and beyond.
As usual, there were tourists from beyond our South African borders. Being a good ambassador for our South African hospitality, my wife offered to take a picture of a French couple with the views in the background. They were entertained, when they offered to reciprocate the gesture, and I insisted that my Samsung Galaxy S4 was built to make selfies look good, and the Obama Administration had made me feel that you are never too old to take selfies.
