Cheap Car Rental In Cape Town

Car rental made easy to make for a pleasant travel experience. Well, with the internet, that is probably people's expectation. It is a grudge buy I suppose, which is why you are likely to search for cheap car rental. Doing that, you put yourself at risk of the "you get what you paid for" adage. The problem with committing on the internet without seeing the car, is you don't get the chance to walk around the car and "kick the tyres".

What do you look for when you rent a car? If you go to the website of the car in the image above, www.bestbeetle.com it is clear that they have gone for the vintage story, and are renting out beetles that are aged but well loved and cared for over time. That is why they are cheap, but the experience being sold is not "cheap and nasty".

There is therefore no false expectations set, but there are also no images of these well loved cars, that are as old as "your favourite grandmother". I took that line from the story on the website. So maybe, the picture you have in mind is a car that looks more like the image below?

The story on the website is warm. The terms and conditions are simple if you want to hire a car. The rental rates are plain and easy for one to see, and they are making a good promise that you might be inconvenienced with a breakdown, but they will come out and repair the car. There is no false advertising or false expectations created. They leave a lot for the imagination given they don't have images on the website. I think they are being honourable.

Reality though is the two images above are the same original picture. I have played with filters as that is what your mind is likely to do when picturing these "blasts from the past". Take the rose coloured glasses off, and this is the car you would be picking up (the image below).

It is branded as the best beetle car rental, but it really is rustic. It must appeal to some as otherwise there would not be a business. Bear in mind, the original owner managed to sell the business and he bought it back in 2011. I am just trying to figure out whether even if you are looking for a cheap car rental, this is what you would be expecting?
