“It always seems impossible until its done.” - Nelson Mandela. In a world full of so many amazing and wonderful things, how is it that we seem to only see the negative? Daniel Tammet blew me away when I discovered that he recited Pi in 22 514 decimal places in five hours and nine minutes. You might remember Pi in Maths at school as 3.14 or 22/7. What you will mostly remember is that it is an irrational number and we tended to round it off since it went on forever...
Daniel Tammet is a savant (somebody with exceptional mental abilities). He suffered epileptic fits as a child and they believe that is what triggered his phenomenal ability. I 100% agree with him when he says "the line between profound talent and profound disability is thin" given I have always believed that there is a fine line between genius and madness.
